My vision for our generation
My heart is truly burdened for this generation.
Very few of us are churched, let alone really know what it means to be a disciple of Christ. I truly believe that having Godly friendships and great events can help you, but I desire to see people in the Xer and Millennial generations who are hungry to know God more, and who want to be the people He has called us to be, not the people we have picked and chosen our way through the Bible to be.
So many of us have accepted and chosen a watered down Christian lifestyle, and we wonder why it’s not working. In fact, we’ve chosen watered down friendships, marriages, parenting, and work ethics, and we wonder why they’re not working. It only works when we do it His way!
My desire, which I believe is God-given, is to see us truly give our lives to God, in total surrender and obedience to him – counting the cost and standing strong, if sometimes alone, in a world that wants to nominalize Christians.
May God someday say to us, as he said to Noah, “ … because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.” (Gen. 7:1b). I fast and pray that we would someday be seen as not only righteous in a generation, but seen as a righteous generation!
